Hawaii Meals on Wheels will be participating in the 2017 Charity Walk. The Charity Walk, founded in 1974 and expanded statewide in 1978, is now Hawai‘i’s largest single-day fundraising event by a non-profit organization. Spearheaded by the Hawaii Lodging & Tourism Association and it’s non-profit arm Hawaii Hotel Industry Foundation, the Charity Walk is traditionally held every May on Hawai‘i, Kaua‘i, Lana‘i, Maui, Moloka‘i, and O‘ahu. Money raised on an island or county stays there.

The Charity Walk features a morning of great food, fun, fabulous entertainment, and a little exercise to help island charities. The Charity Walk is the only one in Hawai‘i where participants can actually gain weight by raising money for a great cause.
