*Guidance on Cards
Our kupuna love cards with hand written notes! Here are some suggestions:
- Any store size card is allowed but remember these are kupuna so making it too small might be difficult for them to read and making it too big might be too bulking for our volunteers to carry and hand out
- Colored paper is welcome but please stay away from dark construction paper as it will be difficult to read
- Drawings, stickers, cut-outs, and happy and artistic items that will lift their spirits are always welcome
- Uplifting and positive messages are key.
Thank you for taking the time to serve homebound kupuna. For card drop off, we are located at Manoa Valley Church, 2728 Huapala St. #209, Honolulu, Hawaii 96822. Please contact Brad Akamu, our Volunteer Coordinator when dropping off. His number is (808) 988-6747 or brad@hmow.org.
