You may have heard in the news that some nonprofit organizations are stopping services to seniors because the City and County is not releasing funds to support their programs.
I want to assure you that although Hawai‘i Meals on Wheels receives funding from the City and County that we as an organization have decided to continue our operations because we know many seniors count on receiving hot, nutritious meals delivered to their homes.
We’re able to do this because we also receive generous support from the community. All who have donors who have faithfully supported Hawai‘i Meals on Wheels over the years to help us get through these periods.
