Hawaii Potters’ Guild (www.hawaiipottersguild.org), a non-profit organization committed to the support and development of ceramic arts and crafts. Every 2 years since 2009, we have undertaken Empty Bowl, a community service project, in which we raise funds to help support the serving of food for those in need. See www.emptybowlhawaii.org.

The next Empty Bowl event will be held from 6:00 to 9:00 pm on Saturday, April 11, 2015, at Kamehameha Schools’s indoor entertainment venue in Kaka’ako.

For a donation, attendees of the event select a soup bowl hand made by HPG members and other pottery studios including many high schools and soup and bread especially made by more than 20 restaurants, and they enjoy the followship that brings our supporters together. We expect several thousand people to attend. This year, we have partnered with Hawaii Meals on Wheels.

We are seeking volunteers to assist with the event.  Please forward this  to the appropriate person(s) in your clubs for their consideration and response.
